Guatemala

It's very unusual for me to be posting without any artwork! But, I'm feeling like sharing, so here's the place, right?

We spent last night in Boston...kind of a last "hurrah" before 3 kids! We had a great time...drove into the city, managed to find a supreme parking spot just outside of the North End. There was a Fisherman's Feast fesitval happening in the North End, so town was packed. We stood in line outside of our favorite restaurant for about 45 minutes before deciding to try the place we had put our name in at...a table opened up there...right at the window overlooking the street...so we ate there. We had a fantastic meal, walked to get a cappaccino at Cafe Vittoria, then made our way back to the car and hotel.

We slept in this morning...8am...and took the shuttle to the airport. Had a ridiculously UNhealthy breakfast at Dunkin Donuts then flew to Miami.

Let's just say that having a 3 1/2 hour layover in the Miami airport is just about the worst thing when it comes to hanging out in airports. There's absolutely NOTHING to do! And...believe it or not...it was COLD! Yes, in Florida, in August and FREEZING!

We boarded our flight to Guatemala at 6 and landed here at 9 (8 in GUA time). We maneuvered the airport splendidly, our Marriot shuttle was waiting for us just outside and here we are! The best part is that Marriot just redid their "bedding standards" and we have TONS of pillows!

We will be receiving Elvia tomorrow...I'm not sure of the time yet. I'll write more when we have her!
