I wake up each day
and wonder if today
I'll be calm
if I'll make it through they day without
yelling
crying
looking up to the sky and asking, "why?"
or if today will be just
another day
filled with anxiety
angst
shitty diapers
bite wounds
crying
screaming
tearing my hair out
grey strand by grey strand
waiting until my knight walks through the door
and I can say
"they're all yours."
