Patterns All Around

This is a piece that was created during a Thursday Art Date with Hannah. We picked a topic...we chose patterns this particular day. I had done some pattern artwork in college and just so happened to still have it...this served as the background of my piece. I then started thinking about how many patterns are all around us in nature...outside, in our homes, everywhere! I don't think you can really tell, but the there are 3D qualities to the piece...some fiber and wood. I really do enjoy this one.

On a personal note, I have been remiss at updating my blog and apologize. I am contemplating doing some furiture next...the trouble is that I STILL don't have my digital camera back from Nikon and can't post any images of the furniture...might be a bit tricky to get a bookshelf on my scanner!

I'm reading a book about making your creative dreams your reality and it talks about micromovements...I'm toying with that concept. Stay tuned!

But for now I'm off to the beach! We're heading to beautiful Popham Beach today. Today is a perfect example of why I live in Maine! (don't talk to me in March...)
