catch up....

This is a partially completed "Grandmother's Bracelet" that I designed for a good friend's mother. I am quite excited about it, as I think it's lovely! If anyone in your life cannot live without one, please let me know! I can whip it up just in time for Christmas!

There are 8 birthstones on this one and it will sell for $30.

Now down to the nitty gritty...

So much has happened since I wrote last...well, not SO much, but enough to feel like time has slipped away.

A good friend died last week. Jean Casey was 39 years old. Cancer overtook her like a big, black freight train. She left two little girls and a darling husband to handle this big, scary world on their own.

Looking back on my previous entry makes me a little queasy...guilty feeling. Who am I to complain about hard days? I have today. I probably have tomorrow. Hell, if I play my cards right, I have a lot of days left...a lot of really amazing days with my family. A lot of days to walk outside, breathe the fresh, cool air and walk upon the earth. A little stress is really nothing when I put things in perspective.

And now that the fairs are over, my stress has eased up. I have been knitting beside the fire and enjoying the hustle and bustle that surrounds the Christmas season.

Until next time, blessings to you.

Yes, that's better. I am sorry about your friend. Very, very sad. Why is it that sometimes something really awful - catastrophic and devestating - must happen to make us wake up and see what blessings we have? You have MANY days ahead... some hard, some easier, but All special because YOU are a part of them. Don't squander one single minute! Remember, even at your most "unlovable", YOU ARE LOVED A LOT!
